Returning for its third season as part of the newly named Providence Food & Wine Festival with GoProvidence, Wine X celebrates the global world of wine alongside Providence’s renowned culinary landscape. Throughout four days of programming, guests will experience exceptional wines from around the world paired with Rhode Island culinary talent, engaging conversations with influential voices in the industry and the warm hospitality that has become a signature of Wine X.
The 2027 Wine X experience begins Thursday, April 15 with the signature Vintners Dinner, an intimate, multi-course evening celebrating the food and wines of Italy. This year’s dinner will be led by Chef Anthony Merola, owner of Andino’s, the beloved Italian restaurant on Providence’s historic Federal Hill. A beautifully curated selection of Italian wines will accompany the evening, with the location to be announced.
On Saturday, April 17, the Grand Tasting returns to The Capital Grille in downtown Providence, bringing together 45–50 acclaimed wine producers and brands for Wine X’s largest tasting experience. Guests will discover wines from around the world while meeting winemakers, vintners and industry professionals, alongside curated culinary offerings, a Caviar Bar and a dedicated Spirits Lounge featuring premium spirits tastings.
For guests seeking an even more elevated experience, VIP 90 provides exclusive access to the Grand Tasting 90 minutes before General Admission, with special and limited-production pours, highly rated wines, elevated culinary offerings and more intimate access to participating producers and Wine X guests.
Education and conversation are also central to the Wine X experience. Four panel discussions will bring together influential winemakers, sommeliers, journalists, media personalities, hospitality professionals and industry leaders for engaging conversations about the people, ideas and trends shaping the world of wine today.

A public relations and event producer by profession and wine lover by passion, Ortiz created Wine X with a very specific vision for how guests should feel. After founding STYLEWEEK Northeast in 2010, Ortiz became known for producing experiences that paired access and exclusivity with an unusually personal level of hospitality. When she created Wine X, she wanted to bring that same philosophy to the wine world: the feeling that every attendee, whether VIP, industry insider or first-time wine enthusiast, is not simply attending an event, but is a guest.
