WineX Terms of Use

Effective October 2, 2026

These terms apply to the Rhode Island Wine Experience website at winexri.com and the WineX RI festival app. WineX is managed by RMO Public Relations, 50 South Main Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02903. Local Robot LLC builds and publishes the app and provides technical support.

Who may use WineX

WineX is intended for adults age 21 and older. Use the website, app and festival services lawfully, provide accurate information when making a request, and keep your sign-in codes, review access keys and device access private. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with the service, submit fraudulent requests or misuse vendor QR codes. WineX does not encourage excessive drinking. Follow venue rules and make safe travel arrangements.

Festival information and your passport

The app provides schedules, participating vendors, wine information, venues and a vendor passport. Festival content, availability, prices and schedules may change. Check the current event and venue information before making plans.

You can browse and keep passport stamps as a guest. An optional WineX attendee account lets you save and synchronize eligible stamps across devices. Ordinary attendee accounts use email sign-in codes and are separate from website staff accounts. The openly labeled Store review access option accepts a reusable key only for a designated, isolated review account; it does not grant access to other attendee accounts or website staff functions. Keep access to the email address you use for your passport. Guest progress can be lost if device data is removed. A passport stamp records a vendor-code interaction; it does not prove attendance, purchase or consumption, and does not itself entitle you to admission, a prize or a discount.

Wine order requests

Submitting an order request sends your contact information and selected wines to the WineX website administrator for handling. A request is not a completed purchase, retailer acceptance, reservation of stock or payment. Displayed prices are estimates, and availability, final pricing, taxes, any delivery or collection arrangements and acceptance must be confirmed separately.

The app does not collect payment-card details. Any later sale is a separate transaction with the accepting retailer and is subject to that retailer’s terms and legally required age and identification checks. The app’s 21+ affirmation does not replace those checks. For help with a request, contact ben@localrobot.com and include its reference, if available. Do not submit payment-card information or identity-document images through support messages.

Camera, maps and updates

Camera access is used to scan participating vendor QR codes. Foreground location is optional and supports your position on the map and walking directions. Maps and routes may be incomplete or inaccurate; use your judgment, obey signs and follow safe public routes. Optional festival notifications can be turned off in the app or device settings. Browsing remains available if these permissions are declined.

Privacy and account controls

The WineX RI privacy notice explains app, account, passport and order-request information, service providers, device permissions, retention and deletion. The website Privacy Policy explains the website’s other information practices.

You may sign out in the app. WineX attendee accounts can be deleted through the app’s account controls or the account-deletion page after verification with a fresh email code and confirmation. The designated review account can instead reenter its review access key before confirming deletion. Account deletion removes the attendee account, its sessions and saved server passport. If the review account is deleted, a later review-key sign-in can create a new empty review account without restoring its deleted passport. Submitted order records and their email copies are separate; contact the privacy address in the app notice to request their removal. WordPress staff access is managed separately by RMO Public Relations.

Third-party services and app license

External ticketing, retailer, map and other linked services have their own terms. WineX does not control those services. The iOS app is licensed under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a different license is expressly provided with the app. These service terms do not replace that license.

Availability and changes

Some features require an internet connection, current festival content or third-party services. We may correct information, update features or temporarily interrupt access for maintenance or security. We may restrict misuse of the service. Changes to these terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law.
